What I wore last week | 46
Style not borrowed, but built + a couple cute looks from these last few days..
Good morning, July! Hope your week ran smoothly!
There’s something about this time of year that always draws me in. I’ve long loved summer fashion—and always find myself wishing the season would stretch just a bit longer. There are simply too many good pieces to enjoy in such a short window. But maybe that’s the magic of it. The fleeting nature of summer makes me savor each outfit, each texture and color, all the more.
Lately I’ve been thinking about personal style and it’s ebbs and flows. If there’s one thing I’ve come to trust, it’s intuition. That inner pull toward what excites and captivates me. And while there’s moments everything’s flowing in my wardrobe and getting dressed feels effortless, there’s other moments nothing in my closet feels quite right. However, I’m coming to see these moments not as setbacks, but as space. An opportunity to reset, to let go, and to realign. I feel ultimately, they can lead me to something more honest, more evolved—not necessarily a new style, but a deeper understanding of my own.
Personal style isn’t just about the clothes we wear—it’s about how we wear them. How we move in them, how we make them our own. That’s what makes it hard to replicate—it becomes uniquely ours, stamped with our signature. It speaks in subtle ways—through details, fit, and feeling. While fashion might not tell our full story or capture the depth of who we are, it does offer a glimpse. A first impression. And, at times, it can attract those who share a similar vibe.
Here are a few favorite styles from the last few days…
This light, airy dress is a summer essential—effortless, breathable, and endlessly versatile. It’s a perfect blank canvas to dress up or down, whether you keep it simple or add a little something special.
Loving this checked top below—excited to start styling it and curious to see how it plays with other patterns too. The soft cotton will only get better with wear, and it’s an easy match with denim for a casual day out.
Another denim look below—kept simple with this beautifully worn-in linen button-down that’s only gotten better over the years. An easy, minimal outfit that just works.
Was excited to pull this button down from the back of my closet—it paired so nicely with this navy puffy skirt. The straw bag added just the right touch of brightness to the otherwise monochromatic look."
Puffy skirt | denim button down | sandals | basket tote
That’s about it for this week. Wishing you a lovely July 4th weekend filled with gratitude and inspiration!
Best, Dina
